What was your personal motivation behind participating in this project?

Fred Domingo

I was seconded by Jane Pearce, the Mt Druitt District Consultant, to this program and I took this program on as I believe my understanding of the Aboriginal culture is very limited. So by doing this, hopefully, I would have increased my awareness of the culture.

Maureen Wenzel

I'm a descendant of the Bundjalung Aboriginal nation and my personal motivation for being involved in this project is to assist the team to create a culturally holistic program where Aboriginal students in particular could be engaged and feel a sense of ownership through the personalisation of the program, thus beginning to address the issues of attendance, truancy and retention.

Rosanne Herat

I was actually seconded by a Science Board of Studies member and I accepted the role on the team to help me to increase my awareness of Aboriginal perspectives in Science in the syllabus and in the curriculum.
